Fabikon Building Technologies Private Limited is located at Koonhal House in Mooriyad Post. We are based in Kuthuparamba, which is in the Kannur district. Our focus is on building technologies, but that basically means we look for better ways to put structures together. It sounds more technical than it usually feels when we’re actually out there in the dirt. The house we work from is usually full of noise and people coming in and out to check on schedules. We’ve been here in Kerala for a long time, and we know the local landscape pretty well. Working in Kannur has its own set of challenges, especially with getting supplies delivered to some of the more remote spots. We don't use a lot of big words to explain what we do. If someone asks, we just say we build things. We spend a lot of time looking at new ways to make buildings last longer, especially with the humidity we get around here. The office at Koonhal House is where we do all the planning, but the real work happens on the ground. We have a small crew and we’ve all worked together for years. It’s not a fancy life, but it keeps us busy and we like the people we work with. Sometimes things go wrong, but we just fix it and keep moving. We’re mostly just focused on getting the roofs on before the next big storm hits.
