District Hospital

We are the hospital located over in Burnacherry. If you live around here, you’ve definitely passed by our gates a few times. It’s a big, plain building that has been standing in Burnacherry for quite a while now. We don't have any of those fancy signs or shiny lobbies you see in the private clinics. This is just a regular district hospital where we do the everyday work of looking after people. Some days it is incredibly crowded and you can barely find a place to sit in the waiting area. That’s just the way it goes here. The nurses are always on their feet and the doctors stay pretty busy from early morning until late at night. We see a lot of different things come through the door, from kids with scraped knees to older folks who just aren't feeling well. The floors are a bit worn down and the paint isn't perfect, but the place is kept clean enough. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just show up, put on our uniforms, and get to work. It is a noisy place sometimes, with all the people talking and the sounds of the town outside. But it's our place. We are just local people working for our neighbors in Burnacherry. We don't make any big promises, we just try to be here when someone needs a doctor or some medicine.
