Dhanalaxmi Hospital

Dhanalaxmi Hospital is tucked away in the Sree Valsam area. It’s not one of those massive hospitals with glass walls and shiny floors that you see in the big cities. We are more of a local place for the people living right around here. The building has been around for a while and it has its own set of quirks, like the way the front door sticks during the rainy season. Inside, we have a few wards and a small area where families can sit. It’s usually pretty quiet until the morning rush of patients starts coming in. The nurses have their own little station where they keep all the charts and they are usually busy writing things down or checking the medicine stocks. We’ve had to replace the fans in the ceiling a couple of times because they run almost all day long to keep the air moving. When the power goes out, which happens sometimes, we have to get the generator going pretty quick. It’s a lot of manual work to keep everything organized. We don’t really have a big marketing department or anything. People in Sree Valsam just know where we are if they get sick. We spend our days checking on people and making sure they are okay. It’s a simple job but it keeps us on our toes from morning until late at night. We just try to be useful to the neighborhood.
