Aruna Flexo Packs.

You’ll find Aruna Flexo Packs at Tmc (Ap) Viii- 543, right in the IDP Andoor Ist Phase in Kannur. We are based out of the Kuzhichal Parassinkadavu area. Working in the packaging industry means the machines are almost always running. The sound of the flexo presses is just the background noise of our lives here. It’s a fairly large space because we need room for the rolls of material and the finished packs. Kannur is a good place to be, though the humidity can sometimes affect how the ink dries or how the paper behaves. We’ve spent a lot of time learning the quirks of our machines and how to get the printing just right. It’s not a fancy job, and we usually end the day with ink on our hands. The IDP area is full of other units like ours, so there’s a sense of community among the workers here. We just focus on getting the orders out to the people who need them for their own products. Sometimes the schedules get tight and we have to stay late to finish a run. It’s practical work—making sure the packaging is sturdy and the printing is clear enough. We don't have a big reception area; we’re mostly in the back making sure the rolls are feeding through the machines correctly. It’s a lot of manual work and checking the quality of the prints as they come off the line. We just keep our heads down and get the packing material ready.
