Apm Super Market

Our shop is right on Pazhayangadi Road in Kannapuram. It is a pretty busy spot with people coming and going all day. Apm Super Market is the name we have on the sign outside, though the paint is starting to peel a bit from the rain. Inside, we have rows of shelves filled with the usual groceries. We try to keep things organized, but when a new shipment arrives, the aisles get a bit crowded with boxes for a while. People who live in the neighborhood are our main customers. They know where everything is, from the tea powder to the washing soap. It’s not one of those huge malls you see in the bigger cities. We are just a local market for the folks around here. We spend a lot of time checking the labels and making sure everything is in its place. The old fridge in the corner makes a steady humming sound all day. Sometimes when the power goes out, we have to keep the front doors wide open to get enough light to see the prices. It is a simple way of working. We sell basic things like bread, milk, and spices. People stop in on their way home and we usually chat about the local news or the weather. We have been doing this for many years now and it’s a steady routine. We just focus on keeping the stock levels right so nobody goes home empty-handed.
