Almanar Trading

You can find Almanar Trading right near to the BSNL Telephone Exchange in Irikkur. It is a handy spot because everyone in town knows where the exchange is, so we do not have to give long directions. We have been here for a good number of years now. It is a general trading business, so we carry a bit of everything that the local people might need for their daily lives or small construction jobs. The shop is not huge, and sometimes it gets a bit cramped when the new stock arrives on the trucks. We have to move things around quite a bit to make room. It is mostly just a few of us working here. We start early in the morning and stay open until the evening. We do not really use any marketing tricks. Most of our customers are our neighbors or people from the surrounding villages who have been coming to us for a long time. We spend a lot of time just chatting with people who walk in.
