Stew And Jones Consulting Private Limited is based at No 24 10 in a place called Kanjankadumanalikarai, which is part of the Kalkulam area. It is quite a long name for a location, and even some people in the nearby towns aren't exactly sure where it is. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you aren't familiar with the local roads. Our office is a simple building, nothing too fancy. We have a couple of rooms where we handle our consulting work. It is usually just the two of us and maybe one or two others helping out with the paperwork. The area is quite rural and peaceful, with plenty of palm trees and open space around. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or a receptionist. If someone comes to the door, one of us just gets up to answer it. We spend most of our time looking at spreadsheets or talking through business problems. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, so we just take a break and sit outside until it comes back on. It’s a very different vibe than working in a big city like Chennai or Bangalore. We like the quiet here because it helps us focus on the details of the work. We’ve been here for a while and the locals know us by now. It’s just a basic office in a quiet corner of the world.
