Working down here in the southern part of Tamil Nadu is different from being in a place like Chennai. The pace is a bit more manageable, but the work is still tough. We handle a lot of different construction jobs. Our office is just a simple place where we keep our files and meet up before heading out to the sites. We have been here for a while, and most of the locals in Kanyakumari know who we are. We don't really use any big corporate language or try to sound more important than we are. It’s just us, working with our hands and managing the crews. Sometimes the salt air from the coast makes maintenance a bit of a headache, but we deal with it. We spend a lot of time talking to vendors and making sure we get decent prices for sand and steel. It’s a practical business. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just some chairs and a desk covered in blueprints. We try to be honest about how long things take and what they will cost. It is a straightforward way of working. We are just local people trying to help other local people build what they need in this district. It feels good to see the finished buildings.
