Rivini Foundation

The Rivini Foundation is located at D No 17-17/10 on the Main Road in Kalimar, which is part of Colachel in Kanyakumari. It’s quite far down south, right near the coast. You can sometimes smell the salt in the air when the wind blows the right way. Our office is a simple building on the main road, so it’s easy for people to stop by and ask questions. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy to draw attention. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, a few chairs for visitors, and some ceiling fans that hum constantly. We spend a lot of time on local projects and helping out where we can. It’s a small team here, just a few of us. We know all the neighbors and the local shopkeepers by name. Life moves at a bit of a slower pace here in Kanyakumari, but we still stay busy with our foundation work. The floors are tiled and we try to keep them clean, though sand always seems to find its way in from the street. We don't have a fancy coffee machine or anything like that, just a small kettle in the corner for making tea in the afternoon. Most of our day is spent talking to people or filling out forms for different projects. It isn't glamorous work, but it feels right being here in the middle of the local community. We stay open until the sun goes down.
