NANJIL PAVITHRAM NIDHI LIMITED

Our place is on the first floor of P.R.K. Square. You’ll find it at number 19 on Alexchandra Press Road. It’s a well-known street here in Nagercoil. Nanjil Pavithram Nidhi Limited is the name we use. Being up on the first floor gives us a little bit of a view of the street below. It’s usually pretty busy with people going about their business. We focus on the nidhi side of things, helping folks with their savings and small loans. It’s a lot of counting and double-checking the books. We aren't trying to be some big bank from the city. We’re just local people working for the community in 629001. The office is functional. We’ve got some sturdy tables and chairs that have been with us for a while. People come in, do their business, and maybe talk for a minute or two about the weather or local news. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, but we take the work seriously. There’s a lot of trust involved in what we do, so we just try to be consistent. Every morning we open up and get the registers ready. Kanyakumari district has its own way of doing things, and we fit right in with that. It’s just us, doing the work, day in and day out, without much fuss. We make sure the paperwork is done before we leave for the night, even if it takes a bit longer than we planned.
