S R Alagappa Estate

We are down here in Nagercoil at 65 Vivekananadan Street. The office is right off K P Road, which is a fairly easy place to find if you are a local. S R Alagappa Estate has been around for a while now. My family has deep roots in this town, so we know most of the streets and the people who live on them by their first names. We deal with land and houses, mostly. It is a lot of outdoor work because people always want to walk the boundaries of a plot before they think about buying it. The sun can get quite hot in the afternoons, so we try to do those walks in the morning or later in the evening when it cools down a bit. Our office is a simple place where we keep all our ledgers and documents. We do not have a big marketing budget or a polished website. Most of our work comes from people walking in or calling us because someone told them we were fair. It is just about getting the details right and making sure everyone understands what they are signing. We like being part of the Nagercoil community and helping people settle into their own bits of land. It is practical, everyday work that keeps us connected to the ground here. There is always someone stopping by for a chat and a bit of news.
