If you head down towards Manavalakurichi in Kanyakumari, you’ll find Lekshmipuram College Of Arts And Science. We are situated right there in the Kalkulam Neyyoor area. It’s a quiet place compared to the big cities, and we like it that way. The college has been around for some time, and a lot of the folks working here have roots in Tamil Nadu 629802. It’s a lot of walking across the campus, and in the summer, it gets quite warm. We have students coming in from all the nearby villages. Our buildings are solid and functional, built to last but nothing too flashy. You won’t find any marble floors here. We focus on the arts and science subjects because that’s what the local kids need to get ahead. There’s a lot of chatter in the hallways between classes, and the library is usually the place to find some peace. We handle things as they come. If a roof leaks during the monsoon, we fix it. If a student is struggling, a teacher sits with them. It’s a very human way of doing things. We don't use those big words or pretend to be something we aren't. We are just a local college trying to help the youth around Neyyoor get their degrees so they can find good work. It’s a steady, honest kind of life here for everyone involved in the campus.
