We are over in Vettunimadam, specifically on W C C Road. Our office at 2/16 is where most of the planning happens, though we are usually out at a site somewhere with mud on our boots. Building things is messy work. We deal with a lot of cement, steel, and people asking when their walls will be finished. It’s a small team here. We don't have those huge glass buildings like the big guys. Our desks are covered in blueprints and half-empty water bottles. The traffic on W C C Road can be a bit much during school hours, but we’ve gotten used to the noise. Most of our days are spent talking to masons or checking if the delivery of sand showed up on time. It’s a lot of coordination and occasionally a bit of stress when the rain decides to start right when we are pouring concrete. We’ve been working around this area for a good while, so we know which spots have soft soil and which ones are easy to build on. It’s practical work. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure the houses and small buildings we put up stay standing for a long time. It’s a simple life, mostly spent outdoors or squinting at drawings under a desk lamp.
