Kanniyakumari Nature Foundation

We are over at No. 30 on South SLB Road, right in the RV Puram area of Nagercoil. Our building is pretty easy to spot once you get onto the street. It is a 629001 zip code if you are looking it up on a map to find us. The road gets a fair amount of people passing through, so there is always something to look at out the window when we take a break. We started the Kanniyakumari Nature Foundation because we live here and care about what happens in our backyard. The office is just a regular room with some old wooden desks and a few maps on the wall. We don’t have any big marketing budgets or anything like that. We just spend our time dealing with local things and keeping records. Nagercoil is a nice place to be based, and RV Puram is a solid neighborhood with good people. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s a very human way of working, I suppose. We don't pretend to be anything we aren't. We are just a group of people who share an interest in the world around us. People drop by with questions or just to say hello while they are out running errands. It keeps us busy and connected to the town. The floor is a bit uneven in one corner, and the gate squeaks when you open it, but it’s our place.
