We have been at 24/52 Karumpumavilai for quite a while now. Most people around Kurumathoor know where the shop is since it’s right there in Vilavancode. Running Annai Mahalakshmi Jewellery Private Limited takes up most of our time, but we like being part of the Kanyakumari community. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular shop where we keep things simple and try to help everyone who walks through the door. My grandfather always said work is worship, so we just show up every morning and get things ready for the day. Sometimes the rains in Tamil Nadu make it a bit slow, but we stay open regardless. We deal with all sorts of pieces, mostly traditional things that people here in Kuzhithuraipo like to wear for weddings or small functions. It gets busy during the festival seasons, and that is when the whole family usually chips in to help manage the crowd. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. Word travels fast around here, and that has always been enough for us. The address is 24/52, Karumpumavilai, and we’re usually there until the evening. If you are passing by Vilavancode, you will see us. We have been part of this street for years and plan to stay here as long as we can. It is just a local business trying to do things the right way without making a big fuss about it.
