Our business, Narendra Singh Sheetalaya, is located at 1/23 Avas Vikas Colony in Chhibramau. We’re right here in the Kannauj district. This part of Uttar Pradesh is famous for a lot of things, but around here, it’s mostly about the farming. We are running a cold storage facility, which means our lives revolve around the harvest seasons. It’s a big, cold building where farmers bring their crops, mostly potatoes, to keep them fresh. When the season is in full swing, the road outside the 209728 address gets packed with tractors and carts. It’s loud and messy, but it’s the best time of the year for us. We started this because there was a real need for it in the local community. Without a place to store the produce, a lot of it would just go to waste. We aren't experts in marketing or anything like that. We just know how to keep the compressors running and the temperature right. Most of the guys working here are from the nearby villages. We’ve known each other for years. It’s a simple life, really. We deal with the farmers, manage the space, and try to keep everything running smooth. Some years the crop is better than others, so you just have to take the good with the bad. We’re just happy to be a part of the local economy here in Chhibramau and help the farmers save their hard work.
