Aurala Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is out in Kannad. You can find us at Aurala Fata, specifically Gut No 36 at Changdev Narhari Shinde’s place. This is real farm country. We are surrounded by fields and that is where we spend most of our time. We formed this group because we wanted to have a better way to manage our crops and get them to the market. It’s not a complicated setup. We meet at the farm, talk about what the soil needs, and figure out who is planting what. There is a lot of manual labor involved and we don't have fancy machines for everything. We write things down in big registers and try to keep everything in order. Some days are long, starting before the sun is even up, but that is just the way it goes here. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the farmers in our little area of Kannad can keep their farms going. We talk to each other about the price of seeds and how the rain is looking for the next month. It is honest work and we do it because it’s what we know. If you come by Aurala Fata, you’ll likely see us working in the fields or sitting under a tree discussing the next harvest. It’s a quiet life but we keep busy enough to keep the bills paid and the crops growing.
