Out on Kannimari Road in Perumatty, you'll find us at Kerala Paint Booth Service. We're situated at number 56, right in the Kanjikode area. Most of our days are spent working on the booths, getting things set up, or fixing parts that have worn out. It’s a lot of hands-on work. The floor is usually covered in a bit of overspray and there's always the sound of fans or compressors running in the background. We aren't a huge corporation, just a team that knows how these booths are supposed to run. We see a lot of different people coming through, mostly from the nearby workshops or factories in the industrial belt. Kanjikode can get pretty hot in the afternoons, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early if we can. Sometimes things break down at the worst times, and we have to head out to help someone get their line moving again. We don't spend much time on fancy talk. We just focus on the machines and making sure the ventilation is right. It’s dirty work sometimes, with grease and paint everywhere, but we’re used to it by now. The shop is simple and we keep our tools where we can find them. If you’re driving down Kannimari Road, you might see us working with the doors open to catch a breeze. We’ve been here for a while and just keep doing what we do every single day.
