Artline Animation

Artline Animation is up on the 2nd floor of the Mall of India, right across from the Kailas Theatre. Being in a mall is a bit different because there’s always music and people walking around outside our doors. Inside, we keep things a bit darker so we can see the colors on our computer monitors properly. It’s a space filled with drawing tablets and a few old chairs that have seen better days. We do animation and graphic work here. It’s a lot of sitting in one spot for hours moving characters around on a screen. We aren’t a big studio with a lot of money; we’re just a bunch of people who like drawing and making things move. There are usually some sketches taped to the walls and a few empty snack wrappers on the desks. We’ve been here in this spot for a few years now. The location is handy because we can just step out into the mall for lunch or a quick coffee. We don't have a formal dress code or anything like that. Most of us just wear t-shirts. It’s a creative place, but it’s also a lot of repetitive work. People sometimes peek through the window to see what we are making. We don't have any promotional posters up. We just focus on finishing the frames we are working on and getting the projects done for whoever hired us.
