Suzal Charitable Foundation

Our foundation is tucked away in Village Baldwara, which is part of the Mandi district. It’s a quiet life out here, and that suits us just fine. We have our small setup right in the village, near the post office. Most of the people working here are from around this area, so we know the families and the history of the place. We don’t have a big corporate budget or anything like that. We just do what we can with the resources we have on hand. Some days it’s hard to get things moving, especially when the weather is bad or the roads are being repaired. But we keep at it. People in Baldwara know us as neighbors first and foundation workers second. We don’t like to make big promises. We just look at what needs doing today and try to get it done. It’s a very practical way of looking at things. We spend a lot of time just talking to people and seeing how things are going in the village. It isn’t glamorous work, and we don’t have a fancy office with air conditioning. We just have a roof over our heads and enough spirit to keep going. We’ve been here for a while and we plan on staying. It’s home, and the work we do is just part of being a good neighbor to the folks around here.
