Semiconducting Devices

Up here in Kangra, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Our place is in Samloti, right in the middle of the district. Semiconducting Devices is the name on the door. It’s funny because you don’t expect to see electronics work happening in a village post office area like this. But we’ve been here for years. We deal with small parts, things most people never see inside their gadgets. The air is fresh up here in Himachal Pradesh, which is nice when you’re working with delicate components all day. Sometimes the power goes out when there’s a big storm in the hills, and we just have to wait it out. It’s not a high-tech lab with white walls. It’s more of a workshop where things get fixed and sorted. We get people coming in from the surrounding villages asking about this or that part. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in India. We just want to do our job well and stay in Samloti. It’s a lot of manual work, checking items and packing them up for transport. The roads can be tricky in the monsoon, so we have to plan ahead. It’s a quiet life, mostly. We know everyone around here and they know us. We don’t need much else. Just the tools, the parts, and the mountains outside the window. It keeps us grounded while we work on such tiny things.
