Rice Mil

You can find us over in Kuri Bazar, right near the PNB Bank. It’s a central spot, so there’s always something going on outside our doors. Being near the bank makes it easy for people to give directions to our place. We run a rice mill, which is basically what we’ve done since the beginning. It’s not a huge operation, just a local mill serving the people around here. The machines are old but they still run well if you know how to treat them. We spend our days covered in a bit of grain dust, moving sacks around and making sure the milling process goes smoothly. The bazar is a noisy place, especially on market days when everyone is out and about. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just want to process the rice correctly and get it back to the people who need it. Sometimes the machinery acts up and we have to spend half the day fixing a jam, but that’s just life in a mill. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the neighbors while we work. It’s a simple way to spend the day. We don't use any fancy technology here, just the same methods that have worked for a long time. It’s a bit messy and loud, but it’s our business and we’re proud to be part of the Kuri Bazar community. We hope to stay here for many more years to come.
