Our company is Paratech Construction Pvt. Ltd. and we are based out of Vpo Gaggal in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. Our pin code is 176209. Working in this part of India is quite something because of the terrain. We aren't a shiny new startup; we are just a construction firm that knows how to work with the land here. The office is right in the village area, so it’s easy for anyone to find us. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. You just walk in and someone will be there at a desk covered in papers and maybe a half-finished cup of tea. We spend a lot of time out at the sites, so the office is often just a place to store tools and file the tax documents. The weather in Kangra dictates our schedule. When it rains heavily, we have to pause everything. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes, but that’s the nature of construction work in the hills. We’ve been doing this for a while and we know the local suppliers and workers. It’s a small team. We eat lunch together most days, usually something simple brought from home in tiffin boxes. We don't have any big slogans. We just show up in the morning, do the work that needs doing, and hope the weather stays clear. It’s a basic life and a basic business. We like the honesty of building things.
