Krishna General Store

We have been running this store in Bhagsu for a long time now. It is right in Ward No- 2, and you can see the Shree Vaishno Devi Temple from the front door. Most mornings start with the sounds of the temple bells and the local people coming in for their daily things. Dharamshala gets quite cold in the winter months, so we keep the shop well-stocked with everything a family might need during a snowfall. It is just a small village shop, really. Our family lives right here in the village, so we know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. Sometimes tourists wandering up towards the temple stop by to ask for directions or buy a bottle of water. The shop is quite packed with bags of rice, snacks, and household items. It can get a bit dusty with the road right there, but we try our best to keep it tidy. Life in Kangra moves at its own pace, and we are just happy to be a part of the neighborhood here. If you are coming from the main post office side, just keep walking toward the temple and you will find us easily. There is nothing fancy about the place, just wooden shelves and a stone floor that stays cool in the summer. We usually open early and stay until the sun goes down behind the hills.
