Koustubh Gems

Koustubh Gems is located at Durgamashrita, 300 Civil Lines. It is a fairly quiet part of town compared to the main markets. We have been working with gemstones here for some time now. Our shop isn't full of bright neon lights or glass cases everywhere. It’s a more relaxed and simple environment. We have a few tables where we sit and look at the stones. People come to us when they are looking for something specific, and we just show them what we have in the back. We don't have a big marketing budget or glossy brochures to give out. Mostly, people find us because a neighbor or a friend told them where we are. Civil Lines is a nice place to work because it’s not as chaotic as the center of the city. We handle everything ourselves, from cleaning the display to talking to the people who walk in. Sometimes we sit for hours just sorting through different stones. It’s a lot of quiet work. We don't make big claims about being the biggest or anything. We just sell gems. If you are looking for 300 Civil Lines, you might have to look twice because our sign isn't very big. We prefer it that way. It keeps the atmosphere calm and personal. We open up in the morning and stay until late afternoon. It’s a steady way to spend the day.
