If you’re up in McLeod Ganj, you’ve probably walked past us. We are right in the heart of Dharamshala, where the streets are narrow and there’s always something happening. Our office is a busy little place, especially during the peak months when the town is packed with visitors. We spend our time managing the cars and making sure people get to the trekking spots or the monasteries. It’s a lot of coordination, and usually, it involves a lot of shouting across the street to the drivers. We aren't a big, polished company. It’s just us, sitting behind the counter and trying to keep the schedules straight. There’s a lot of noise from the market outside, but we’re used to it by now. We don’t use any fancy systems; mostly it’s just pen and paper and a lot of local knowledge. Some days the traffic in McLeod Ganj makes everything run late, and we have to explain that to everyone. We try to be honest about how long things take and what the roads are like. It’s just a normal travel desk where we do our best to help people out. It gets a little crowded in here when the rain starts and everyone ducks inside for cover, but we just keep working through it. You’ll usually find us here from early morning until late at night, just making sure the next day’s trips are all set.
