City Channel

City Channel is based out of Tehsil- Baijnath, specifically in the village of Pantehar. Our post office is Ghirtholi. Up here, things move a bit differently than in the big cities. The air is better, but the terrain makes our work a bit tricky sometimes. We are surrounded by hills and a lot of greenery. It’s a beautiful place, but when the weather turns bad, it can be a real struggle to keep everything running. We have cables and equipment that we have to look after across the village. It involves a lot of walking and climbing up steep paths. Our office is a simple room in Pantehar where we keep the main gear. It’s not very organized, with wires running everywhere and spare parts sitting in boxes on the floor. Most of us are local people who grew up in these hills. We know every path and shortcut in the area. When something goes wrong with the signal, we just head out and fix it, no matter the time of day. We don't have a big corporate handbook to follow. We just know how to get the job done so the village can watch their shows. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except when the heavy monsoon storms hit. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just spend our days making sure the lines stay connected through the mountains and the trees. It’s what we do.
