Ayurveda House

Ayurveda House is located in Dharamkot, which is just a little bit further up from Mcleodganj. We are very close to the Himalayan Iyenger Yoga Centre. This part of the hill is much quieter than the main square down below. We have a simple house where we keep our supplies and talk to people. It’s not a medical clinic or a fancy store. It feels more like someone’s living room. We have a lot of different oils and traditional items on the shelves. Most of the people who come to see us are staying in Dharamkot for yoga or just to get away from the city noise. We don't have a big sign with flashing lights. You just follow the path near the yoga centre and you’ll find us. We don't have a lot of employees. It’s usually just one or two of us around to help out. The mountain air is good here, but the winters get very cold. We spend our days chatting with visitors from all over the world. We don't have a polished sales pitch. We just tell people what we know about the things we have. It’s a very slow-paced way of doing business, but it suits the atmosphere of Dharamkot. We open the doors early and stay until it gets dark. It’s a peaceful way to live and work in the mountains.
