Antho Grains Private Limited

We operate out of a house in Ward Number 6 on Shakti Gali in Kangra. It’s a regular residential street, so we try not to make too much noise, but moving sacks of grain is rarely quiet. Our house number is 1776. It’s a bit cramped sometimes with all the bags piled up. We spend our days weighing grains and talking to the people who come by to buy for their homes or shops. It’s a very old-fashioned way of doing business, but it works for us. The lane is narrow, so when a delivery comes, everything else has to stop. We know all our neighbors and they know us. We don't have a big corporate board or anything like that. It’s just a family-run kind of thing where everyone chips in. The dust from the grain gets everywhere, so we are constantly cleaning the scales and the floor. In the summer, the heat in the Gali can be quite something, but we just keep the fans going. We don't do much advertising. We’ve lived in Kangra for a long time and people just know where to find the Shakti Gali grain house. It’s simple, steady work. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep the sacks moving. There isn't much more to it than that. It's just a house full of grain and people working.
