Our place, Sri Balaji Earth Movers & Sand Suppliers, is located at No 100 on Bangalapudur Road. We are right in the Teachers Colony area of Kalimedu, which is a pretty decent spot to be. Most days you’ll find piles of sand and our trucks parked around, waiting for the next delivery. It is heavy work, and by the end of the shift, everyone is usually covered in a bit of dust or grit. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that because that isn't what our business is about. We just focus on getting the sand moved and the earthmoving equipment where it needs to go. The office is just a small room where we keep the records and take the calls. It’s often loud with the sound of truck engines and loaders working nearby. We’ve been in Kalimedu for a good while, so we know the roads around here like the back of our hands. Dealing with sand and heavy machinery means you have to be ready for things to go wrong, like a flat tire or a hydraulic leak. We just fix it and keep going.
