Sonanchal Rich Grain Producer Company Limited is based out of the village of Naubhima, near Kandi in the Garhwa area. It’s a place where you see a lot of green and a lot of hard work happening every day. We aren't a big corporation from the city. We are just local people who decided to put our resources together. Our office is right here in the village, so we are never too far from the actual farming. Most of the time, you can find one of us sitting at the small table we use for our books, trying to make sense of the latest regulations or just planning for the next season. The roads here aren't the best, so we do a lot of walking to meet the members. It’s a hands-on kind of job. We don’t have fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still done with pen and paper because that’s what we trust. Naubhima is a quiet place, but when the harvest comes, this office gets very loud and busy. We like the noise, though. It means things are moving. We don't try to be something we aren't. We’re just a grain producer group trying to do right by the folks in Garhwa. It’s a steady life, and we are glad to be doing it right here where we belong. We keep our eyes on the fields and our doors open.
