Biswamitra Enterprise

We are located at the Kandi Bus Stand in Murshidabad district. Being at a bus stand means there is never a quiet moment. There are always horns honking and people shouting for passengers. Biswamitra Enterprise is our little business here. We have a small shop front where we keep our things. It is mostly a place for people to stop by when they are traveling or if they live nearby in Kandi. We do a bit of everything that people around here need. It is practical work. We don't spend money on fancy signs or painting the walls every year. The paint is peeling a bit near the door, but it doesn't affect the work we do. We have a wooden table where we sit and talk to anyone who comes in. Sometimes we share tea with the other shopkeepers. It is a tight community at the bus stand. We know most of the drivers and the regulars. The floor is just swept concrete. We keep our supplies stacked against the walls in boxes. It might look a bit messy to a stranger, but we know exactly where everything is. We started this enterprise because we wanted to work for ourselves. It has been a few years now. We stay open late because that is when the last buses come in. It is just a regular life here in Murshidabad and we are glad to be part of it.
