Mahaveer Kirana Store

Our kirana store is located in the Janhapank Laxmiprasad area within Block Boudh. We are situated right near the Chari Sambhu Temple. It is a fairly quiet place to work most days of the week. We sell the basic groceries and household items that everyone in the neighborhood needs for their kitchens. The shop isn't very large at all, so we have to use every single bit of wall space for our shelving. We usually start our day very early to get everything cleaned and ready before the first customers walk through the door. Usually, people will come by to shop after they have visited the temple nearby. We have known most of the families who live around here for many years. It is the kind of place where people often stop to chat for a while before they head back to their homes. Dealing with our suppliers can be a bit of a headache sometimes, especially when the delivery trucks are running late. We have to keep track of all our inventory manually in a notebook. The floor is made of plain cement and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to do it yet. It is just a simple, honest business. We don't have any big goals other than keeping the stock full and being here when our neighbors need a bag of rice or some fresh spices. That is how we spend our days.
