Our place, Jai Maa Gayatri Distributor, is located right in the thick of things in Boudh Garh. We are situated in the Main Market, which is usually a very busy place to be most of the week. Being near Hanuman Mandir means we hear the bells and see the crowds regularly, especially on specific days when everyone comes to offer their prayers. The shop isn't very large but it’s packed with what we need to get through the day's orders. We spend a lot of time talking to the locals and making sure the distribution side of things doesn't hit any snags. It’s a bit of a maze in the market sometimes with all the stalls and people moving around, but you get used to the rhythm after a few months. We’ve got our routine down pretty well by now. We open up early to beat the main rush and try to get the heavy lifting finished before the sun gets too high and the streets get too crowded. There is always someone walking by or a delivery bike trying to squeeze through the narrow parts of the street. It’s a lively environment to work in, even if it gets a bit chaotic during the festival seasons. We don’t have any fancy signs or big corporate logos, just the name on the front and the work we do inside. It’s just us doing what we know how to do in a neighborhood we’ve grown to like quite a bit. It’s noisy and dusty, but it’s our spot in the market.
