Our place is out in Sriperumbudur, located at Asha Nagar on Survey No. 538/33. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but being in Kanchipuram district means we get a lot of variety in the people who visit. The office itself is pretty basic. We’ve got some sturdy tables, a few filing cabinets, and a lot of paper. Chit funds involve a lot of tracking, so our eyes are usually glued to the registers for most of the morning. It’s not the most exciting work, but it keeps us busy. We don’t have a fancy sign or any neon lights. Most people find us because someone told them we were here. The area around Asha Nagar is developing, but it still has a quiet feel to it most days. We usually start the day by dusting off the desks and checking the mail. There’s a tea stall not far from here where we get our drinks, and that’s usually the highlight of the afternoon break. We don't use much complicated software; we prefer the old-fashioned way of doing things because it’s just what we are used to. If you come by, you might find us arguing over a calculation or just sitting quietly while we wait for the next person to walk in. It’s a straightforward business, and we like keeping it that way without adding any unnecessary bells and whistles to the office.
