Udhayam Industries

We are located at No.9, Bharat Nagar, along the Meavakam Road in Sholinganallur. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but it’s a good spot for us. The shop isn't very large, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. We handle various industrial tasks, mostly small-scale stuff that comes in from around the neighborhood. It’s mostly just us and a couple of helpers who have been with us since we opened. The morning traffic on Meavakam Road can be a bit much, so we try to get in early to beat the worst of it. We don't have an air-conditioned office or any of that, just a desk in the corner with a lot of old ledgers and papers. Sholinganallur has changed so much with all the IT buildings, but our little corner in Bharat Nagar still feels like the old days. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving between machines and checking on the work. Sometimes a job takes longer because a tool breaks or the materials show up late, but we just keep at it. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town. We just want to do right by the people who bring us work. It’s a simple operation. We shut the shutters in the evening and head home to our families, then do it all again the next day. It’s just how we live. No big plans, just steady daily work in the shop.
