Tea S-Pot

Tea S-Pot is just a small place we have here at 627 Sathya Nagar. People in Manapakkam know where it is because we’ve been here a good while. It isn't a fancy cafe or anything like that with expensive chairs. We mostly just spend our days making tea and making sure things are clean for whoever walks in. It gets really busy in the mornings when people are heading to work and again in the evenings when they are coming back home. We’ve been at this spot for quite a bit now. Some days are slower than others but that's just how it goes with a small shop like ours. We don’t have a big team of workers, just a couple of us doing all the work from start to finish. You might see us cleaning the tables or checking the stove or washing the glasses. It's a simple life and we don't complain about it much. The street outside can get a bit noisy with the traffic and the horns but inside it's okay for a quick break. We try to keep enough supplies in stock so we don't run out of things when it's crowded, though it happens. Sometimes we forget to order enough milk or sugar and have to run out to the corner. It's not a perfect operation but we do what we can. Most of the folks who come in are regulars from around the neighborhood. We know their usual orders without asking.
