Stanford Shoes Pvt Ltd. is based out of Ramapuram, specifically at 151/4 Mount Poonamalle Road. It’s a major road, so there’s always a massive amount of traffic passing right by our front door. You get used to the constant sound of buses and cars after a few weeks. Our spot at 151/4 is where everything happens for us. It’s a very functional space, mostly filled with the heavy tools of our trade and rows of stock boxes. We’ve been in Ramapuram for quite a bit of time now, and we’ve seen the whole neighborhood grow and change around us. Working at Stanford Shoes Pvt Ltd. means being around the strong smell of rubber and various adhesives all day long. It’s just what we know. The building itself is nothing special to look at from the outside, just a sturdy, reliable place that keeps the rain out and the work going. We have a small, dedicated crew, and everyone knows their specific roles. Mount Poonamalle Road can be a bit of a nightmare during the peak hours, but once you’re safely inside, it’s just us and the work. We don’t have a fancy showroom or a glass storefront here. It’s more of a real place where things get made and eventually moved out to customers. We just keep our heads down and try to get the daily orders right. It’s a simple life.
