We have been operating Sri Velmurugan Textiles Private Limited from our spot at Door No. 5/1 on Tiruvalluvar Salai for some time now. Ramapuram is a busy place, and being right there on the main road means there is always something going on outside our doors. Textiles is what we know. We deal with fabrics and orders every single day. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we keep our samples and do the billing. Most of the time, the rooms are full of stacks of cloth or boxes waiting to be moved out. It can get a little cramped when a big shipment comes in, but we manage. Chennai weather can be tough, especially in the summers, so we just keep the fans going and stay focused on the work. We aren't a big corporate chain. It’s mostly family and a few workers who have been with us for years. We know our regulars by name and they know where to find us. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the traffic outside. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because that's not what the business is about. It is just about getting the right fabric to the right person at the right time. We do our best to stay on top of the orders and keep the shop running smoothly without making things too complicated for anyone involved.
