S.K.Constructions

S.K.Constructions is based out of No.4/101 on Ll Cross Street in Chennai. This part of the city is always moving. Our office is a practical space where we keep our tools, maps, and project notes. It’s not the kind of place with air conditioning running in every corner or leather sofas. We have plastic chairs and sturdy desks because that’s what we need. Being in construction, we are usually covered in some bit of dust or mud by the end of the day. This office is where we meet to figure out the next steps for whatever we are building. The street outside is narrow, so parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We’ve lived and worked in Chennai for a long time, so we’re used to the heat and the humidity. The office is just a base for us. We spend most of our time out on the field, but the paperwork has to happen somewhere. We keep things simple. When a client comes by, we usually have the drawings spread out over the table. We talk about what needs to be done and how long it will take. There’s no sales pitch. We just tell it like it is. It’s a small operation, but we stay busy. Ll Cross Street is our home base, and we’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers know our names. We keep working.
