Shreeba Furnitures

At Shreeba Furnitures, we have our shop set up at No 4/5 on Eagambar Naicker Street in Ramapuram. It is a small street, but it stays busy with people coming and going. We have been here for a few years now, and we have gotten to know the rhythm of the place. We mostly sell things like beds, wardrobes, and some kitchen cabinets. Our shop is quite packed with wood and tools, so there is usually a smell of sawdust in the air. We do a lot of the work ourselves, so our hands are rarely clean. We don't have a website or a fancy catalog. If you want to see what we have, you just have to come by and take a look at what is on the floor. Sometimes we are in the middle of fixing something and the whole place is a mess, but that is just part of the job. We try to be fair with people and give them something that will last. The street can get flooded during the monsoon season, so we have to be careful about keeping the furniture off the ground. We spend our days cutting, sanding, and talking to the people who walk in off the street. It is a quiet kind of life, and we are happy to stay small. We close up around eight or nine at night, depending on how much work we have left. It’s just how we run things here.
