We are quite close to JK Mahal, so during the wedding season, we hear a lot of music and see many people dressed up. Our office is a simple place where we manage all the building projects we have going on in this part of the city. We have a few desks and a cupboard full of old files and site photos. Chennai can be incredibly humid, so the fan is always on, and we drink a lot of water throughout the day. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone like that. It’s just us doing the coordination and making sure the labor turns up on time. Most of our clients are people from the neighborhood who have known us for years. We like being in Nanganallur because it has a nice feel to it, with the temples and the small shops. Work usually starts early before the heat gets too bad. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at the sites. When we are back in the office, it’s mostly about checking the accounts and planning for the next week. It’s a straightforward life. We aren't doing anything revolutionary; we are just building things that stay standing for a long time.
