Shekinah Architects

We’ve been doing this for a while now here at No 3 Rajamani Illam. Most people know us because we’re right near that Dream House Furniture shop in Selaiyur on Second Main Road. It’s a busy spot but we like it here. Working as architects means we spend a lot of time looking at drawings and site plans all day. It’s mostly just us trying to figure out how to make a space work better for whoever is going to live there. We don't have a big fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It is just a normal workspace where we keep our tools and papers. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it’s quiet enough to actually get some drawing done without being interrupted. People usually just drop by when they have a project in mind. We talk about what they need and see if it’s something we can handle. We try to be straightforward about what can be done and what can’t. Construction is a messy business sometimes so we just try to keep things organized on our end. If you are looking for the place, look for the furniture store nearby because our sign isn't the biggest one on the street. Selaiyur has changed a lot since we started and there is always something new being built around the corner. We just keep doing our bit one project at a time. It’s hard work but it’s what we do.
