Sethu Architects

Sethu Architects is located at No 18/40 on 3rd East Street in Kamaraj Nagar. This part of Thiruvanmiyur is quite nice because you get a bit of a breeze from the ocean if the windows are open. The office is on the ground floor of a two-story building. We have a small garden area out front that has a few potted plants and some dry leaves we need to sweep up. Inside, the layout is pretty open. We have long tables where we spread out the large sheets of paper. There is a small kitchen area in the back where we keep the fridge and the water filter. The street is usually quiet, except for the occasional delivery bike or the neighbors heading out for work. We spend a lot of our time going back and forth between the computer and the hand-drawn sketches. Sometimes we lose track of time and realize it is already dark outside. The lighting in the office is a bit yellow, which makes it feel cozy in the evenings. We have a lot of books about old houses and local buildings on the shelves. Most people find us by word of mouth since we don't do any advertising. We just focus on the drawings and making sure the numbers add up correctly. It is a slow and steady kind of work that fills up our days from Monday to Saturday.
