If you drive down No 58 Trunk Road you will see us right across from the Holy Crescent School. This part of Poonamallee is always moving with buses and trucks heading down the High Road and the sound of school bells ringing throughout the day. At Sathya Furniture World we spend a lot of our time moving heavy wooden tables and steel cupboards around the floor. It is dusty work and by the end of the day our clothes are usually covered in sawdust or grime from the delivery trucks. Poonamallee is a hot place to work but we keep the fans going and just get on with things. We don't have any fancy sales pitches or anything like that we just show people what we have and let them decide. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps and watch the traffic go by on Trunk Road when things are a bit slow. The shop is full of all kinds of things we have collected and it can get a bit crowded when a new shipment arrives. We have been here for a long time and the school kids often look through the window as they walk home. It’s just a normal furniture shop run by normal people who know how heavy a solid wood wardrobe can be. We don't try to make it sound like anything more than it is, we just want to sell good tables and chairs.
