The drive out to Sipcot Industrial Park in Sriperumbudur can be a long one, but we’re used to it by now. Ruhrpumpen India Pvt Ltd is located at Plot G-33 in Villam Vadagal, and it’s a proper industrial setup. We spend our days around pumps and heavy machinery, which means it’s never really quiet on the floor. There’s the sound of tools, the hum of the testing rigs, and people calling out over the noise. We assemble things, check the seals, and make sure everything is put together correctly before it leaves the gate. It’s physical work, and your hands usually have a bit of grease on them by the end of the shift. We have a cafeteria where we all sit together, and that’s usually the only time it’s actually quiet. Kanchipuram district gets pretty humid, so the fans are always on full blast in the workshop. We don't have a team of actors or models; we’re just regular folks who know how to put a pump together. We focus on the task at hand and try to stay on schedule. It’s a large plot, so there’s always something being moved around by the forklifts. We just show up, do the work, and head back home. It's a busy environment but we manage to get through the daily production goals without much fuss.
