Royal Ice Creams

Our shop is located at 244 Dhanalakshmi Nagar, right on the main road in Avadi. Royal Ice Creams has been part of this street for a good bit of time. People stop by while they’re doing their shopping or waiting for the bus. It’s not a big fancy parlor, just a regular place where we sell scoops and pre-packed tubs. The traffic on the main road can get pretty heavy, so it gets dusty outside, but we keep the inside tidy. We spend a lot of time checking the temperatures on the deep freezers. If they act up, it's a real mess. I usually handle the counter myself most afternoons. The light in the shop isn't the brightest, but the fridge lights work fine. We get a mix of regulars who live nearby and people just passing through Avadi. Sometimes we run out of certain flavors before the new delivery comes in, and we just have to tell people to wait until Tuesday. It's a simple life running a shop like this. We don't do anything too complicated. You walk in, pick what you want from the list on the wall, and that’s it. We wrap the blocks in newspaper if you're taking them home so they don't melt too fast in the heat. It works well enough for everyone around here. We just try to keep the doors open and the ice cream cold.
