R. P. Agro Industry

Down here at 29, 3Rd Street in Shanthi Nagar, things move at their own pace. R. P. Agro Industry is basically a small office and a storage space where we keep our supplies. Adambakkam is a nice area, mostly quiet except for the usual neighborhood noise. We deal with agricultural stuff, so our calendar follows the seasons more than anything else. When it's time for planting, the phone doesn't stop. We have bags of seeds and different tools stacked up against the walls. It’s not a showroom. It’s more of a practical space where we get things ready for the farmers and local buyers. Sometimes the delivery truck gets stuck in the narrow lane, and we all have to go out and help the driver navigate. My desk is usually a mess of orders and old notebooks where I jot down what people need. We don't have a fancy website or anything. People just know where to find us. We've been in Shanthi Nagar for a while now. Most of the people who work here live just a few streets away. It makes it easy to open up early when we need to. We spend a lot of time talking to customers about the weather and how the crops are doing. It's important to know these things for the business. We just try to keep the supplies moving and make sure everyone gets what they ordered on time.
