Pondy Polypack Pvt. Ltd. is situated at No.81 and 82 in Sri Venkata Subramanya Swamy Nagar, over in Kundrathur. It is a bit of a trek if you are coming from the main city, but we like it out here. We have two units side by side, which helps when we have a lot of packing work to get through. The street is usually lined with trucks or small vans waiting to load up their orders. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of the packing machines and people calling out to each other over the noise. We don't have air conditioning in the main work area, so we keep the big doors open to catch whatever breeze comes through Kundrathur during the day. The floors are concrete and have a few cracks here and there, but that’s what happens when you move heavy stuff around for a living. We have a small office section where we keep the books and take calls, but most of the action happens on the production floor. Sri Venkata Subramanya Swamy Nagar is a quiet enough place except for the industrial noise we make. We aren't big on meetings or fancy presentations. We just look at the orders for the day and get to work with our hands. Most of the staff have been living in this area for a long time, so we all know each other and the families around here. It’s just a regular workplace doing regular things at No.81 and 82.
