Paattan Mittai Foods Private Limited is basically just us working out of Tholkapiar Street in Kattankolathur. Most people know the Senthamizhnagar area around here, it's pretty quiet mostly. We started this because we wanted to do something with the sweets we grew up eating. It isn't a massive factory or anything fancy like that, just a regular place where we make things and pack them up. We spend a lot of our time on No.67-68, just trying to get the recipes right and making sure the packets look okay before they go out. Sometimes the weather gets really hot in Maraimalai Nagar and it makes the work a bit tiring, but we keep at it. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy words for us. It’s just us and the sugar and the ingredients we source. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and the neighbors know us. It’s a lot of manual work, cleaning up, boiling things, and checking the stock. Some days are busier than others, especially when there's a festival coming up and everyone wants something sweet. We just try to stay honest with what we make. If something doesn't taste right, we don't sell it. It’s simple like that. We aren't trying to change the world, just making some mittai and hoping people enjoy it when they're having their tea or a break. That’s pretty much the whole story.
